Tasks: You are the Vice-President in charge of Public Relations at Sincere Community Hospital, a local community hospital. The CEO has expressed concern that many employees of the Emergency and Admissions departments are not discussing advance directives with patients and do not give them any literature about how this is treated under New York State and federal laws. He has given you a copy of what was given to patients in the past (see attached). He wants you to critique it and provide him with a written assessment of what revisions should be made, using standard memo format for your response. This needs to be supported by current laws on the subject, and must be related to privacy, patient rights and patient advocacy. You must also discuss how the Patient Bill of Rights relates to advance directives and decision- making in treatment.
