Text Structures The objective of this activity is to experiment with different organizational patterns that you might put into use within sections of your proposal. Trading Spaces" Our classroom space (or assume a generic classroom in one of the older academic buildings) is up for redesign! You get to turn it into the study space of your dreams. Your task today is to build out parts of a pitch to the NSU Provost's office for their support and funding. Your pitch will need a clear and memorable title to stand out from the stack. Write out FOUR of the following, with details. Each should have a clear subheading as well. Detail your milestones (dates and events) for renovation (chronological) Describe the space as it currently is (spatial) Describe the space as you'd like it to appear (spatial) Explain the student needs/wants you're fulfilling, starting with the most important (more important to less important) order of magnitude: most impactful change, widest-reaching, biggest scope, student body major individuals Compare two different options for one part of the setup (compare-contrast) Discuss the intended outcome of the renovation (cause-effect) Break down the different types of equipment/furniture/stuff you'll put in the space (classification) Explain a potential roadblock to your plan and how to address it (problem-solution)
