Use the template from the Resource Folder to create your Business Case for your fictional project. Note that a Business Case is used in the project selection process - it's a sales pitch to the group financing the project essentially. The context is that you are competing against other companies, or other projects within a company, to be selected. Part 4: Project Charter. Use the template from the Resource Folder to create your Project Charter. The Charter authorizes the project to start and authorizes the project manager to begin using the resources that were committed to the project when the Business Case was approved. There can be many months between the Business Case and the Project Charter that cannot be simulated in the class, however, the documents are both required.
