The commands $=$ count$($data range$)$ and $=$ counta$($data range$)$ in Excel

Neither command is in Excel, they have been replaced by the command $=$sum$($range$,$ number$/$letter$).$

They serve the same purpose, i$.$e$.$ do the same thing.

Counta $-$ counts the number of cells in the range which has values either a number or letters.

There is no $=$counta$($data range$)$ in Excel.

Count $-$ counts the number of cells in the range with a number.
