The data that we will analyze in this project are contained in the six files $($one per lake$)$ under the heading:

$$Long term average surface water temperature compared to $2023($CSV$,1995$ Present$).$ For convenience,

the files are copied to this project site on D$2$L$.$ The names of the files are like all$\_$year$\_$glsea$\_$avg$\_$s$\_$C$.$csv$,$

where the $$C$$ indicates Celsius degrees, and the $\_$s$\_$ indicates Lake Superior. Data files for the other lakes are

designated with $\_$o$\_$ Ontario, $\_$e$\_$ Erie, $\_$h$\_$ Huron, $\_$m$\_$ Michigan, $\_$c$\_$ St$.$ Clair. The files contain the average

temperatures for each day of the year for each of the six lakes. Data were collected between January and

December, from $1995$ to $2023,$ and are in degrees Celsius. Days are numbered $1$ to $365,1$ being January $1$st

and December $31$st being $365.$
