The EA function at Central Australian University is centralized and responsible for planning the information systems for all units of the university. The deputy director of architecture, who focuses on maturing the EA practice and who describes himself as a manager of architects and not a chief architect, heads the EA department. The EA function uses TOGAF (2011) as its key guiding framework. The EA function employs 20 architects (four enterprise architects and 16 solution architects). Enterprise architects work on an enterprise level and constitute the core of the architecture team.
