The filter bubble would not exist if we were not using social media and creating content for that sphere. Consider how you present yourself, especially online. Perhaps there are some interests that you explore extensively on social media and others that you keep offline -- that would mean that you are showcasing only those interests with a digital footprint. Perhaps you use social media sparingly or not at all, or you work hard to keep yourself anonymous online. Think about how you could depict that in a self portrait.

For this discussion, please do the following:

Draw or create a picture that represents the information choices you make on social media. Your picture need not be complicated. Here are a few examples from Champlain College librarians that showcase a few directions in which you could go.

Upload or link to your digital selfie in a new thread below. If you drew your selfie by hand, you can take a picture of it or scan it.

Write a short analysis that describes what you included in your digital selfie and why you chose to include it. Is there anything missing from your digital selfie? In what ways do you see your cultural or ideological identity reflected in your selfie?
