The final project allows you the opportunity to interact with other leaders in human resources to support your learning and to develop new connections that may benefit you in the future. Past students have seen a variety of benefits from the connections they made during this project, including employment opportunities.

You will identify at least one human resource professional, or leader fulfilling an HR related role, to speak to and interview about what their current challenges are. When possible, identify a project or support information that can help them with their challenge and volunteer to help develop the ideas and planning phase. In an ideal situation, you can use your project as the opportunity to provide support to them and to submit for your grade.

NOTE: I always have to remind students that you will not necessarily have time to see the project through to the end. Your project is not meant to overload you but to gain access to professionals in the field to gain real world understanding of challenges. This project provides you with the "excuse" to reach out to an HR leader at your work or elsewhere.

At a minimum, you will use the information from your interview to identify a topic and create a report or paper that includes a thorough description of the interview questions and responses that make the challenge$($s$)$ clear and provides recommendations for how to address the problem. It is important that you keep in mind this is your project and must represent your ideas and recommendations.
