The following pieces will be required for this homework assignment:

A VPC with a private subnet of your choice

There must be a public and private subnet

The public subnet will have two EC$2$ instances

$1$ ELK AMI from the marketplace $($use the t$3$a$.$medium EC$2$ instance$)$

$1$ Windows $2016$ free tier on a free tier EC$2$ instance

The private subnet will have one EC$2$ instance

$1$ Windows $2016$ free tier on a free tier EC$2$ instance.

The public subnet must be accessible from the internet. The private subnet must be able to access the internet. This will require two services talked about in the demo.

You will need a Public and Private Route table with the appropriate routes allowing access to the internet.

You will need $1$ Key Pair for the Windows servers $$ make sure you download and save it$.$

You will need $1$ Key Pair for the ELK server $$ make sure you download and save it$.$

Your public security group$($s$)$ must allow access from your home computer to your ELK server and your public Windows server. To find your home computers IP address Google "what is my ip$".$

Your public security group$($s$)$ must allow access from the instructors PC which has an IP address of $3\mathrm{.}87\mathrm{.}216\mathrm{.}0.$

Your private security group$($s$)$ must allow RDP access from any machine in your public subnet.

When I connect to your public Windows server, I should be able to access the Windows server in the private subnet.

You must visit the webpage for your ELK server and obtain the administrator username and password. You will have to follow the ELK instructions
