The goal of this project is to conduct an analysis of two companies in the same industry. The two companies you will analyze are Dollar General and Dollar Tree. You will do this project IN GROUPS. You should submit only one project report per group. Additional instructions are as follows: Use the SEC EDGAR website to locate the form 10-K for the year ending February 3, 2023 for Dollar General and the form 10-K for the year ending January 28, 2023 for Dollar Tree. Also, obtain the form 10-Ks for the year ending January 29, 2021 for Dollar General and for the year ending January 30, 2021 for Dollar Tree. See Appendix 1A of your text for some help/instructions on this. The SEC has changed the format of the website some since the book was published, but the book can still help some, I think. I suggest downloading the Excel spreadsheet version of the financial statements and related tables, but also you will want to be able to read the text in the HTML version or the plain text version.
