The Greenhouse Gas $($GHG$)$ Protocol defines three scopes for classification of GHG emissions. Scope $1$ emissions are direct emissions from an orga$-$ nization$$s operations $($e$.$g$.$ boilers, furnaces$).$ Scope $2$ emissions are indirect$$those resulting from purchased electricity, heat, and steam. Scope $3$ emissions are also indirect$$those resulting from the organization$$s activities, but not owned by the organization$$for example emissions generated by third party production of component materials, as well as third$-$party logistics$.$ Addressing Scope $3$ logistics emissions is challenging, especially for large organizations with complex dis$-$ tribution systems, because it requires collecting information from $($multiple$)$ third parties, often operating with different IT systems and varying levels of sophistication. Let p denote the true $($population$)$ proportion of organizations that have identified Scope $3$ logistics GHG reduction goals. In a benchmarking survey of $72$ organizations, eight said they are actively working on Scope $3$ logistics$.$
