The learning approach that I find the most effective within the workplace would have to be Banduras Social Learning Theory. It is important for employees to have confidence in themselves and as Bandura described it as task specific self-efficacy in order to complete challenging tasks given to them. This theory puts a lot of weight on studying others' successes and applying it to a person's own work. There are four sources of task-specific self-efficacy: prior experiences, behavior models (witnessing the success of others), persuasion from other people, and assessment of current physical and emotional capabilities(Nelson and Quick, 2019, p.91). Now of course if you want this theory to actually work in your organization you must have both successful and motivational individuals in upper management positions that can really enhance their employees self-efficacy. By avoiding any sort of punishments it creates a more comfortable environment for the employees which in turn leads to more confidence in ideas and abilities to figure out work and grows the ultimate productivity of the organization. Of course it also matters if the individuals in your organization are willing to be motivated in order to find their best work within themselves, if it is not there internally then there is really nothing you can do. As we have been discussing in previous weeks everybody is different and has their own way of perceiving directions so it really is up to the manager/supervisor to learn about their own employees and what really drives them.
