Assuming that the shear layer has a thickness of 10 mm, that the flow velocity above the layer is U₁ 11. m/s and that the velocity below it is U₂~-1. m/s. 1) Estimate the limits of the unstable wavelength range (dimensional values), i.e., the longest wavelength as well as the shortest wavelength that are neutrally stable. 2) Estimate the most unstable wavelength and its growth rate (dimensional values).
