The money spent on political campaigns is astronomical! Hundreds and hundreds of millions of dollars are spent
Question:
The money spent on political campaigns is astronomical! Hundreds and hundreds of millions of dollars are spent on advertising, mostly for the the purchase of television airtime. Quite often, those advertisements come in the form of "attack ads" where one candidate lobs negative criticism at an opponent's viewpoint without necessarily bringing forth their own position on the matter.
How do you feel about attack ads? Do you feel these ads help you make informed decisions? Or do you think they detract from the real issues? Has political advertising become so "cluttered" that none of the ads have any real impact? Are we at the point where we tune it all out as noise? What is you view? Discuss!
