The Mouse Trap

Project Description:

For this project you are tasked to create a better version of a mouse trap.

Your hypothetical data suggests that the target market that you are currently considering feel that:

• current mousetraps are inhumane
• the design of current mousetraps are ugly
• current mousetraps pose dangerous risks to pets

Task: Create a prototype for a better mousetrap by using any combination of the following items (you must use at least 8 different items): toilet paper roll, paper clip, phone charger, sock, coaster, used CD, pipe cleaner, an empty box, tape dispenser, toothbrush, a shoe, dental floss, an alarm clock, light bulb, dog or cat bowl, baseball cap, lighter, duct tape, and/or an empty can.

Take a picture of your prototype and upload it to Moodle for your Project 4 submission.

In addition to the prototype, write a 250-word synopsis of the creative process that you used to design your mousetrap. What ideation techniques did you use? How did the user data influence your design process?
