A paper copy of the Build Sheet is sent to the Inventory Department. The inventory Department checks to see if all the parts needed to assemble the e-bike are in inventory. If all the parts are in inventory: The Inventory Department will approve the build. They will then at the same time: (1) send the Build Sheet to the Assembly Department to assemble the e-bike, and (2) update the Inventory Information System. Once the Build Sheet has been sent to the Assembly Department, the Inventory Department will notify the Sales Department that the e-bike assembly has started. If any of the parts are not in inventory: The Inventory Department will not approve the build. The Inventory Department will order the missing parts and then update the Inventory Information System. The Inventory Department will then notify the Sales Department of the delay.
