The project will include two major phases; Phase $1$ and Phase $2.$ Figure $1$ provides an outline of

the major steps in contingency planning.

$$ Phase $1$ of the project will focus on restoring the services currently down, identifying

vulnerabilities of the systems, and developing a CP policy, business impact analysis, and

incident response plan.

$$ Phase $2$ of the project will research preventative controls, develop a thorough disaster

recovery plan, resolve the vulnerable aspects of the college servers and applications,

attempt to recover the vulnerable Project VM from the criminals, and implement

preventive and disaster recovery controls on a new Secure VM$.$

$$ Two professional and well$-$prepared presentations will be given at the conclusion of each

phase. Presentations will be a maximum of $20$ minutes per team, requiring careful

preparation and prior practice. Each team member should have equal presentation time

within the group.
