The role of an Oversight Investigator, tasked with reviewing a compliant surrounding the OPP response to activity at a Gay Pride event in Dunville, Ontario in 2018. At this event, there was a protest. Complaint According to the complaint made, several assaults occurred at the event. There were several instances of disorder instigated by the protesters including: • Bible thrown at the lady and women pushed to the ground. • Women assaulted by the Protestors. • Protestors used megaphones to "spew" propaganda. Used language: "gays should die" and "you all have Aids" According to the complaint, OPP did not arrest the "instigators". Police did not arrest on allegations of assaults that occurred. According to the complainant, the police did "nothing". They stood around the park and Ignored the Pride event members. The police were neglectful in their duty.
