The Samsung Global Code of Conduct and Business Conduct Guidelines, which direct every one of their representatives,
Question:
The Samsung Global Code of Conduct and Business Conduct Guidelines, which direct every one of their representatives, drive their efforts to deliberately oversee consistency and moral dangers. It also serves as a way to cover any violations of moral models by suppliers, clients, and other outside partners. Samsung representatives worldwide get relevant information via on-site, online, and audio/visual training at least once a year. The vendors are also given 'Business Guidelines' to build easy business operations. Securing customers and upholding principles are important to Samsung. These panels enable Samsung's Compliance and Privacy Organizations to respond to working consistency monitoring and working consistency programs for neighbourhood backups and branches."
It has been my experience that over the last 20 years or so "ethics" has become a larger focus for businesses in general. I have seen over the years where more and more of the largest corporations in our country will talk about the ethics and overall sustainability. However, there are groups out there that watch this type of "talk" and they try to hold companies accountable. We are seeing a backlash towards companies that appear to "say" the right things but their actions speak louder. I have seen this especially when talking about being ESG and then really they are "greenwashing" their company's efforts in regards to ESG.
Why would a company Greenwash?
