Question: The Structural System is: a RC SLAB 2 5 0 mm Thick Cast Over 4 0 0 wide Beams Supported by 4 0 x 4

The Structural System is: a RC SLAB 250mm Thick Cast Over 400 wide Beams Supported by 40x40 Columns
The Superimposed Dead Load is 1.00 kPa, Live Load 4.00 kPa. Concrete is 30 MPa, 40 MPa, Cover 40mm
Tasks to be accomplished:
1. Based on Table 9.2, determine the minimum Depths of Beam in each Span to Avoid Deflection Calculations
For the Calculations Below allow Tributary Width of 6m and use Deepest Sections and round up to 25mm
2. Based on Table 9.1, determine the Shear Forces at Face of each Support and show in Format as on N9.3(*)
3. Based on Table 9.1, determine the Bending Moments at Face of each Support (*)
4. Set aside Results from above, Assume Depth of Beam h =700 mm, f 'c =40 MPa, Use "KR-Method"
& Table 2.1 to Determine: Top Reinf. at Support "4", and Bottom Reinf. on Span 3-4 amd 4-5
( Recognize, the beam is deeper but for this excercise only, still disregard the weight of part under slab )
5. Using "General Method", Determine Shear Strength Vc and Vs, and required Stirrup Reinf. in Span 3-4
( assuming h =700 mm and f'c =40 MPa )
6.0 m
For Q 4 & Q5 Use h =700mm Throughout
