The Task Environment

Your textbook defines the external environment as the forces(customers, suppliers, competitors, labor force, distributors, corporate partners, subcontractors, unions, professional supports, lenders, government, interest groups and the media), institutions and people outside the boundary of the firm. The external environment is further divided into the general and task environment.
