The user analysis will include a definition of the target audience (i.e., who is in it and who is not), summary data on their characteristics (with special emphasis on characteristics that might affect design decisions), and two or more personas (at minimum, a primary persona and a secondary persona). “The objective for this web portal is a multipurpose web site for the residents of Islamabad. The site will be a simple to use, simple to maintain through which the CDA can provide information to the resident of Islamabad. The site will be the first web expedition for the CDA and for the CDA employees”
The CDA currently provides information to the resident via manual methods. Information is posted on notice boards at the CDA offices and Post Offices, is provided in a periodic newsletter that is mailed to the residents, is announced in a line of text in water bills, or personally delivered by CDA employees whenever an individual comes to CDA office with an information need. The CDA would like to make such information available all the time so that residents would have access to it in their homes at time of their convenience. The goal for the web site is to duplicate the current methods of providing information with point and click access on a simple, clearly identifiable, easy to maintain web site
