The word "control" has a different meaning when applied to the management functions. The "Control function" has to do with establishing standards, monitoring performance, comparing performance to standards, and taking corrective action if needed.

Refer back to your post on goals in M03. What controls are in place to make sure you achieve your goals? Use Figure 16.1 on p. 632 and illustrate the steps in the control process as it relates to achieving your educational goals. In other words, have you made any changes to your plans since that discussion?
