There are many complex social problems that affect the industries in which we all work. Some will affect you more than others. Here are a few examples of complex (wicked) problems that have impacts on industry or are influenced by industry:

• Climate change
• Social injustices (such as racism)
• Social biases (gender, age, education, religious, cultural, etc.)
• Unemployment
• The working poor
• Access to education
• Infrastructure

Consider complex problems that affect the industry you will work in after you you graduate. Focus on the industry, not a specific company. You could also consider complex problems that your industry contributes to. See the examples of complex problems in the project introduction, but do not limit yourself to these. Each industry can have its unique set of complex problems. In about 200 words, answer the following questions in paragraph form: 1. What are some complex problems that your industry is either affected by or contributes to? 2. Explain why you think these problems are significant and/or specific to your industry. 3. Which of these problems would you like to consider for your final project? What are some questions you need to consider.
