- There are so many technology buzz words floating around us, Blockchain, RFID, ERP, IoT, Cloud Computing, Big Data, AI, just to name a few. From your own experience, which one do you think that has changed the logistics system the most? Use examples to explain your pick.
- As the technology develops, we see more and more new retail strategies and implementations, combination of on-line and in-store shopping, roadside pickup, fast delivery, etc. One of the so-called revolutionary retail stores is Amazon Go. Now Amazon Go has several stores in the Chicago area. There will be no clerk to help customers check out. You scan your Amazon Prime membership when you enter, and pick what you need to basket and walk out. Everything will be automatically tracked.
I have two questions about this new retail store. The first is how much it will change the logistics system? Is there any difference in the requirement of the logistics system to support the success of these stores? The second is how prevailing they can be. Do you expect that they will knock traditional retails out of the market? Why and why not?
