The concentrations of the reactants will be changed independently so that the change in reaction rate can be observed and analyzed. The effect of these changes in concentrations of the reactions on the reaction rate will be observed and recorded. This experiment contains two parts: the first part being the determination of the order of the reaction in hydrochloric acid by varying its concentration while holding the concentration of thiosulfate constant. The second part being the reverse, where the concentration of thiosulfate is varied and the concentration of hydrochloric acid remains constant. - rewrite
