Leaders can and should reinforce a company culture. A leader should eliminate behaviors that do not match cultural expectations (Heskett, 2012). Eliminating wrongful behavior is helpful by ensuring clarity that non-compliant behaviors will not go unnoticed. Some other simple methods include leading by example, working alongside other team members, setting goals, and driving the company's values to all people (Gibson, 2023).

Following these practices are critically important. Removing unwanted behaviors, for instance, allows all employees to know that following cultural elements is the one and only way the company should operate, with no exceptions to the rule. For a leader, accepting and ignoring destructive behaviors creates the impression that rules do not matter. A significant way to ensure compliance is a side-by-side work-along, which will drive values closer to home. Leaders can monitor employee actions and ensure proper employee behavior. Alternatively, managers and supervisors can be the reinforcers of the leader by managing the behaviors of the employees.

Leaders should be leaders. Therefore, their behaviors should model their expectations of the employees and organizational culture. One way leaders can lead is through goal setting and task assignment. Through these administrative patterns, employees can stay on track with company initiatives while staying on the path of the organization's culture. Ultimately, these practices are all important as they solidify the organizational culture within companies and businesses.
