1. This assignment is to be completed in group, partially in class, and partially outside class time. The instructor will discuss with students in advance for dates when students will be required to work on the assign during class time. Confirmation notice to be posted on the course Moodle page.

2. Using online sources, students will select one retailing business for their project. Examples include -

1. SEARS: Analysis on the fall of the retailing business model
2. Nordstrom Canada: Opportunities and Threats
3. TARGET: Why did it fail in Canada? What lessons can be learned?
4. Home Depot or Lowes?
5. Hudsons Bay: Is this retailer successful?
6. Best Buy: Moving in the right direction?
7. Presidents Choice and Shoppers Drugmart loyalty programs merge plan: is it a good plan?

Note: Students are encouraged to research and select other examples of retailing businesses not included the list above presented.

3. The expectation is the assignment will include the following sections

Your presentation evaluation will be based on content (Content selected for the presentation, Design, content delivered verbally during the presentation, quality of answers), as well as your presentation skills (introduction, speaking clearly, enthusiasm and confidently, maintaining audience interest, participation of all group members, etc.).
