   1. Below is my answer : I recently took the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator (MBTI) test and found out that I am an ENFJ. This means I have preferences for Extraversion (34%), Intuition (28%), Feeling (9%), and Judging (41%). In this paper, I will explain what these scores mean, how they relate to my life, and how I can use this information in my career as a vocational rehabilitation counselor. Description of My Scores My results show that I have a moderate preference for Extraversion, which means I enjoy being around people and feel energized by social interactions. My Intuition score suggests that I tend to focus on the big picture rather than getting caught up in details. The Feeling score indicates that I usually consider emotions in my decisions, but I also value logical reasoning. Lastly, my Judging score shows that I like to have structure and plans in my life. Interpretation of My Scores Being an ENFJ means I have strong leadership qualities and a desire to help others. I was born in Nigeria and graduated with a degree in History and International Studies. I was the first student leader at my college, which helped me develop my leadership skills. As a Sunday school teacher, I enjoy guiding and supporting others. In my career, I have worked as a correctional officer, parole officer, and unit supervisor, managing parole offices in various locations. These roles required me to connect with different people, which fits well with my ENFJ traits. Now, as a vocational rehabilitation counselor with the Texas Workforce Commission, I use my communication skills and empathy to help clients find their career paths. Using the MBTI in My Career Understanding my ENFJ type is very helpful for my job. The insights from the MBTI can help me better support my clients. For example, my outgoing nature helps me build relationships quickly, and my intuitive side allows me to see opportunities for my clients. My preference for structure helps me create effective plans for their rehabilitation. However, I also see challenges in using the MBTI with the people I work with. Different personality types may respond differently to my approach, so I need to be flexible. For instance, clients who are more introverted or logical might need a different way of communicating. Being aware of these differences will help me create a supportive environment for everyone. Surprises and New Discoveries Taking the MBTI test revealed some surprising things about myself. I've always seen myself as a leader, but the test highlighted my caring nature and commitment to helping others. This realization has encouraged me to embrace my role as a Sunday school teacher, where I can continue to grow as a leader while supporting others. Moving from Nigeria to the United States has also shaped my views and career choices. The challenges I faced during this transition have made me appreciate the importance of community and support, which aligns with the values of the ENFJ personality type. Conclusion In conclusion, my ENFJ personality type gives me valuable insights into my strengths and areas for growth. By reflecting on my scores and experiences, I can navigate my career as a vocational rehabilitation counselor more effectively and continue to develop as a leader.
