This assignment will help you to consider the research approaches and the marketing information sources required for the team project Marketing Plan Part #1 which integrates all the course outcomes including the marketing planning process, consumer behaviour, target markets, trends, strategies, and technology. This assignment will be very helpful when you write your final team project report.
INSTRUCTIONS:
Identify your team members (if any) for his assignment. Review the assignment rubric together.
You will develop an annotated bibliography for the Marketing Plan Part 1 Final Report showing the information sources you may cite that are specific to your organization, product and/ or service, and its environment.
To complete the final project report, you'll need information about the company itself, the industry, the competition, market segmentation and demographic information, consumer behviour insights, trends, and more. This is your chance to gather all that information.
Develop a MS Word document identifying the information sources you will use to develop your Marketing Plan Part 1 report. Use American Psychology Association (APA) citation formats. Visit the NSCC Library at this link to learn more about APA formatting. You are building a basic annotated bibliography which, for this assignment, should have at least 10 entries with a brief outline of what information you expect to get from each of the ten sources. Keep it simple. Just identify good sources and how they'll be used. For example:
Company background: ABC Co Annual report found at (in APA format, reference the source as you would cite it for this content in the final report)
Industry history: XYZ Industry report found at (in APA format, reference the source as you would cite it for this content in the final report)
Demographics: LMNOP Statistical report found at (in APA format, reference the source as you would cite it for this content in the final report)
Make sure your annotated bibliography covers the full spectrum of information you will need for the final report consistent with the Marketing Plan Part 1 assignment template provided in Brightspace.
Because you are noting the type of information you will use from each source the final format of this submission will not look like a finalized bibliography. That's OK at this stage. What matters now is that you have credible sources for all the information that you will need and that you have used APA citation formatting successfully.
Submit the file in .pdf format using the naming convention Company Name_Bibliography_V1 and avoid spelling or grammar errors. Each team member should submit.
Grading will be according to a rubric published in Brightspace and will consider: 1 submission professionalism including following instructions; 2 at least ten source citations included 3 coverage of all the topics in the Marketing Plan Part 1 template which require information; 4 use of credible sources (i.e. not all blogs from some obscure marketing critic); and 5 reasonable use of APA formatting.
