This assignment will require you to draft a report on an organization that has locations in the Hospitality and Tourism sector in Ontario, Canada. I will assign the organization to your group once you have emailed me with your group member names and student ID numbers. Example: HUMA 68 F2A Major Group Assignment. In the email, you will list all student names and student ID#'s. This must be done within 5 days of our class in week 8. Explain all the details of this organization including the name, parent company, where and when it first began operations, how many locations, revenues, etc. This is meant to be a detailed account of your chosen organization. Please be thorough. (10 marks) Next, you will explain how COVID-19 has had an impact on this organization. Did it temporarily close or not? What steps did the organization take in terms of managing their employees? Have they hired all or most employees back to the company? Has the organization been able to find enough workers? Has the company had to change the compensation strategy to attract and retain workers? How do they pay their employees relative to the competition. Are they currently hiring? (10 marks) Choose one management position, and 3 entry level positions applicable to the organization and outline the job specifications required for this position as well as the average rate of compensation in Ontario. You must provide evidence of average rate of compensation by showing where you sourced these pay rates. (10 marks) This assignment should be completed in Microsoft Word only. It must be typed, double spaced, twelve size Calibri fonts. This assignment should be a minimum of ten pages in length. This will include a proper title page and bibliography.
