This exercise: you will report on your personal shopping experience
Using the knowledge learned in this course about professional selling, you will evaluate the skills of a salesperson
Go shopping for one item (shoes, purse, wallet, hat, jacket.etc) - each group member goes to a different store
Pretend you want to buy, but do the following:
Raise objections (price is too high, I want to think about it...etc)
Do not buy unless the salesperson is convincing
You don't have to buy; the key is to be able to evaluate the skills you experienced
Did the salesperson convince you to buy? Why? Why not ?
Write a report to present to class (5%)
Report must include a minimum of 9 ppt slides, a report from each person
What to include in your report/slides
Two slides per person
Each person reports on the following: Greeting politely, offering to help (Hook, attention grabber)
Qualified your needs and wants (asked good questions: who is it for, favourite colour...etc)
Presented all benefits of the product (Save money, Save time, Status)
Was passionate, persuasive and convincing
Asked you to buy (ex: how would you like to pay?)
Overcoming your objections
Closing the sale
What marks out of 10 would you give this salesperson?
Note - It doesn't seems like we are doing homework, include all steps including (hook, and attention grabber) and presented all benefits( save money time, status) etc.
