This is something that is far from the truth, affirmative action's goal isn't to give less qualified people opportunities just based on their race or gender. It is to help give those who are just as qualified as those who aren't discriminated against the same opportunities. If you believe affirmative action goal is to take opportunities from people just to give them to someone who is less qualified, you don't understand what affirmative action is and what it stands for
