This is a "critical thinking" Partnership project. Perform some Internet research and read about the Diffusion of Innovation (Rogers, 1962) and the 5 types of Human Adopter Groups that must be convinced. Christensen (1997) further expanded upon Rogers' theory by introducing "disruptive technologies." He argued that they can be helpful or harmful to an organization, dependent upon the readiness and understanding of the business culture and the preparation and the planning prior to the integration and roll-out of the new technology. Based upon the readings, videos, and your personal research, draft a commentary on an item, service, or product that had to progress through the 5 groups of human adopters to become successful. Also, note if sustainable, environmental, or supply chain issues arose that had to be addressed, mitigated, and/or corrected for the item, product, or service to be successfully accepted by the majority of the adult population with purchasing power.
