So, the court ruling was according to the U.S constitution that is the right to autonomy. The women right to terminate her pregnancy was protected by the US constitution. In this case ruling gave women an absolute right to an abortion in the first trimester of pregnancy but allowed for restrictions in the second trimester and for prohibitions in the third.

Impact on the health care includes Obstetrics and gynecology residents are likely to lack access to in state abortion training. It also have negative impact on patient access to abortion care in the affected states and also have impact on the many aspects of the reproductive care and maternal health including access to medical treatments such as assisted reproductive technology, IVF as well as preconception and prenatal genetic screening.
