Imagine you are a Project Manager for a local cleantech company.

Choose one company from the following 7 BC companies:

2. Protechnol Biotech Lower mainland, BC

4. Cubic Farms Langley, BC
5. Semios Vancouver, BC
6. Terramera Vancouver, BC

Deliverables:

1. Do some basic research online and determine what you think their top 2 major objectives are. You should already know how to find this out: use Annual Reports, articles online, speeches or statements from the CEO or other executives. THIS IS NOT THE MISSION STATEMENT. They are Corporate Objectives.
2. Think of a project-based around what you think is the most important Corporate Objective to tackle in the near-term. REMEMBER: this doesnt mean the most important one. Its the one that should be tackled first. Explain WHY you think it should be tackled first.
3. Define the project:
   • Define the Project Scope
   • Create the Work Breakdown Structure (*Remember to include the components of the WBS. Budget or cost estimates are not necessary for this assignment but time estimates are). Justify your time estimates using the methods.
4. Identify the top 2 risks that this project is exposed to. What steps would you take to mitigate/avoid/transfer/retain those risks?
5. Pick one of the identified risks and create a contingency plan should that risk materialize.
