This is a Retail Math question. I have to figures out the Markdown % and $ for the information provided. I was told i should account for a 25% markdown for This Year's Sales (TY Sales). I am not sure how to do the calculations with such limited information. How do I work this out? I also have to account for 25% markdowns (MD), so how would I calculate the MD % and MD$ for This Year and for Markdowns for Last Year (LY)? There was a decrease in sales from Last Year (LY) to Total Season. This is for apparel seasonal planning for RETAIL MATH. I copied the math problem and am also uploading an image:
