Project description

You are hired to work on an office renovation project for Reach Enterprises. The schedule and budget for the initiative is due in a weeks time, but you must first breakdown the work into manageable components.

The renovation work entails:

1. Painting the interior and exterior of the building
2. Installing 48, 6 x 8, office cubicles (These cubicles must be installed in 12 offices, four per office.)
3. Installing new furniture (computer desk and chair) in each cubicle
4. Installing new furniture (conference table and chairs) in five meeting rooms
5. Retrofitting each meeting room and cubicle with a laptop, docking station and secondary monitor
6. Retrofitting each meeting room with a smart board and projector

The company does not have any experience in-house to work on the project. They are leaving you with the responsibility to procure materials, equipment and people needed for the successful execution of the project.

Additional information:

1. Each cubicle and office must be retrofitted with a desk and a chair.
2. Conference Room 1 has a seating capacity of 30, while Conference Room 2 has a seating capacity of 20. Each conference room must be retrofitted with a large conference table and the requisite number of chairs.
3. The building has two floors and its exterior is covered with brick.
4. Feel free to make assumptions if you find any gaps in the case, however, do not go beyond the scope of work established by the client.

Tasks:

1. Create a work breakdown structure (WBS) for the Renovation Project.
2. Identify appropriate milestones for the project.
3. Create two WBS dictionary entries for two work packages of your choice.

1. Submit your work in professionally formatted documents. Your WBS "Work Breakdown Structure must be appropriately scaled so that all contents are visible.
