1. How does Moeller explain that news organizations use certain words to incite fear in the public? What are some of these words or phrases? Do you think this choice of language helps or hurts the perceptions Americans have of the Middle East.

2. How do news organizations make terrorism the "big story"? Provide examples from your readings.

3. Explain how terrorism relates to politics. How do terrorists often use timing of attacks to strengthen their message?
