In this unit, we looked at the importance of staying abreast of changes in the external environment, and bringing a perspective on how these changes might impact your own organization. There is a great deal being written about the future of work at this point in time and what it will mean to the HR function. For this reflection activity, start by reading the following article, What Will HR Look Like in 2030?, which appeared in SHRM's Winter Magazine of 2022:

Then, create a summary of your findings, imagining that the summary will be presented to leadership at your organization. (If you are not currently working, you can use an organization that you are familiar with - through volunteering, your studies, or because it has a strong media presence and imagine you are presenting to leadership at that organization.)
Write one paragraph to provide background on your organization. Include details such as industry, size, type, whether it is public or private sector, etc.
Specifically, select two (2) trends from the article. Prepare a summary of this trend, and the related impact on your organization. You are welcome to use Figure 4.5 Trend-impact table in Unit 4 to format your summary.
Write one paragraph explaining why you choose those two trends. That is, why are these trends relevant to your organization? Is there something about your organization's current philosophies, practices or strategic vision that makes it particularly important that they pay attention to this trend?
The entire summary can be between 250 and 500 words.
