This should be in a Business Report format. You have been asked to conduct a market study of your city (or another, if you choose) to determine the best location for a given business (your choice). The company requesting this study wants basic demographic information (e.g., population, income, age, traffic flow, etc.) to be used as the basis for your recommendation.

Look for:

1. Essential background information about the topic.

2. Purpose of the report, including an implicitor explicitproblem question.

3. Audience(s) for the report (both primary and secondary).

Then consider these questions:

Will the topic you've chosen be interesting or useful to you outside of the context of this course?

Is the topic centered in a business or organizational context? Even if the topic is based on a "fictional" premise, could the report be generated in a "real life" business or organization?

Will the topic ensure that there is going to be enough primary or secondary information or data to meet the report's page requirement?

Will the topic require analysis?

Conducting Research

Explain how the sources you found contributed to your report.

Organization

Interpret and analyze your data so you can write proper conclusions.

Determine if you're using the direct or indirect pattern in writing your report.

Is your report informational, analytical, a feasibility report?
