This week we will example the Descriptive Statistics for a data set, calculate the IQR, explain what they tell us, and describe the shape of the related histogram. See below for a video on how to work with the Data and Desmos.

Step 1: Choose one of the following data sets. Click the randomization button (crossed lines in upper left corner) a few times to get a unique sample. Adult Asthma Prevalence by state for 2018: https://www.desmos.com/calculator/jh1yjphah1(Links to an external site.)

Step 2: Provide the title of your Data Set, and the link to your personalized set of randomized values, use the share button (box with an arrow out of it).

Step 3: Provide the mean, median, and standard deviation of your sample set, the full set is not needed for this.What do these values tell you about your sample?

Step 4: Find or calculate the mode class and IQR.Do these values provide more information about your sample? Explain why or why not.

Step 5: Discuss the shape of your histogram, humps, skewness, etc.Embed your histogram with boxplot, use the embed code from the share button above.
