This week's lecture on design thinking emphasized its user$-$focused approach to innovation, which combines insights about users with data to drive continuous improvement. This helps us understand what users need. We saw two examples: empathy maps and Lotus Blossom which are tools that promote collaborative problem$-$solving and help teams develop ideas and solutions. They show how knowing user needs could improve product development. Moreover, the design thinking process has five key steps such as empathize, define, ideate, prototype, and test. In addition, it emphasizes the importance of learning from mistakes. Finally, design thinking develops a culture of empathy, collaboration, and ongoing education, resulting in significant innovation and constructive change. These exchanges have helped me to better grasp the role that design thinking plays in fostering organizational growth and user$-$centered innovation.
