This will have a 25% weighting and will be done in teams of maximum 7 students each. Students will conduct a virtual field trip on a cruise ship of choice. They will make observation and evaluation based on the following concepts:

o Planning of the delivery system
o Management of Customers’ Wait Time
o Measurement and Management of the Service Delivery System

o Challenges in Managing Service

JamCruise Tour Company is poised to be the new tourism craze for Jamaica within five year’s time. The cruise ship / vessel which can accommodate 700 passengers and 70 crew members will provide entertainment, transportation and logistics-related tourism solutions all under one roof (or should we say around one island!!!) This one of a kind weekend sail around Jamaica will offer breath taking sceneries of the coast line of Jamaica, making ports of call in several areas between Friday afternoon and Sunday afternoon each weekend.

In essence, this new and exciting tourism product will offer all one can get at a hotel and more and will cost comparatively less than an all-inclusive hotel.

In preparation for the launch, there must be strategic planning and implementation in order to satisfy and retain customers.

Each team should CREATE a SERVICE BLUE PRINT for JamCruise with a focus on the following:
