Thought on how to make this a better statement List and explain the key issues that must be addressed (minimum of4*).
- In the beginning Robin only sought out allies but later he welcomed all who came and in return only wanted willingness to serve.
- Having one person delegated to finances
- With the crew growing it was harder to enforce discipline
- To many people = them running out of food
- Revenue was in decline
- Robin did not know all the people who joined the group
- List the current mission statement and discuss why the mission must shiftor justify why the current mission serves this "organization."Ifthe mission must shift, establish the new mission statement and provide the argument to justify your proposed new mission. (Carefully evaluate this section since it sets the tone for all other areas of analysis.).Further, discuss the vision that must beestablished.
- "Rob from the rich to give to the poor"
- I don't necessarily think the mission is wrong I just think it needs to go towards a different direction. Robbery isn't something that should be accepted or tolerated no matter who is being robbed. Robbing from someone because they are more fortunate then you doesn't justify the robbery. Robbing from the rich isn't working for Robin Hood to support the number of people that is in the merry-band. If the mission is to give to the poor a transit tax would be steady a steady amount of money coming in to give.
- Prepare a SWOT analysis (minimum of 4* elements for each component, with explanations for each; include in the "T" section the "ultimatethreat").
- Strengths
- The amount of merry men that are in the group to help Robin go against the sheriff
- Having the support of the local farmers and towns people
- Robin handpicked the others over seeing certain aspects of the group
- Weaknesses
- As the group has gotten larger not all of the people are known
- The group is starting to go hungry
- Losing focus, not disciplined
- Disorganized
- Opportunities
- Robin Hood can gain finances with imposing a tax from travelers
- Helping in the King's release
- Reorganizing the leadership/who is overseeing different sections for example finances
- Threats
- The ultimate threat is the sheriff and what he could possibly do to the merry-men
- The sheriff is growing stronger and Is connected
- Prince John
- Recommendations
Robin Hood and the merry-men first need to stop just letting anyone join the merry-men. There is not enough financing for everyone to be in it this causing hunger within their group. Having one person delegated to finances doesn't seem very logical. A couple people should over see this to make sure money is going to the correct use. Helping release the King would make it to where the merry-men were not needed and therefore would not need to go hungry.
