Question:
Tiffany is an Operations Manager at the Blood Bank. She observes the following blood donation process. The blood donor first approaches the reception station. The nurse at the reception then asks if the donor has made an appointment. The donor replies "No" and the nurse passes him a questionnaire and a pen, instructs him to bring the completed questionnaire back to the reception. When the donor is back at the reception, the nurse checks his identity, keys in his details into the system and asks him to proceed to the next station for a blood test. The nurse at the blood test station confirms the donor's identity and then takes a blood sample to test for the iron level. After the donor's iron level is found to be suitable for donation, the nurse then directs the donor to see a doctor, who confirms his identity, goes through the questionnaire and checks the donor's weight and blood pressure level. The doctor then sends the donor to the blood donation station where the nurses confirms the donor's identity and proceed to extract blood from him. Once the donation is complete, the nurses then remove the equipment, bandages the donor, and sends him to the snack station where he can get some light refreshments before leaving the blood donation centre.
