Abstract: This project aims to explore the feasibility of replacing metalized barriers with plastics for alcohol storage packaging. The study focuses on material selection, design considerations, and testing procedures to ensure the safety and effectiveness of the proposed plastic$-$based packaging. Through systematic experimentation and analysis, the project intends to provide insights into the potential advantages and challenges associated with utilizing plastic materials for alcohol storage applications.

Introduction: Metalized barriers have traditionally been used in alcohol storage packaging due to their excellent barrier properties against oxygen and moisture. However, concerns regarding the environmental impact, cost, and recyclability of metalized barriers have prompted researchers to

explore alternative materials. Plastics offer promising alternatives due to their lightweight, costeffectiveness$,$ and potential for customization. This project aims to investigate the feasibility of using plastic$-$based packaging for alcohol storage, focusing on material selection, design considerations, and testing procedures.
