1. Creating the future: My ideal self as a Leader

The quest for leadership is first and foremost a quest of self-discovery, an inner quest to discover who and what you are. Leadership development is in essence, self-development.

In no more than 100 words, describe your vision or image of yourself as an ideal leader.

2. Making a Plan

Using the attached template create a Leadership Development Plan to help you continue to develop your leadership potential. Complete the following

a. What are three changes or developments necessary for you to be the ideal leader you aspire to

b. For each of these three changes or developments, create a goal statement (remember 3-SMART goals)

c. For each of these goals, describe the anticipated barriers or challenges

d. For each of these goals, describe the specific strategies or actions that are required to achieve your goal. Ensure your strategies consider and reflect the identified barriers and how you will minimize, mitigate or eliminate these

e. Identify how you will reward or recognize progress and/or achievement for each of the three changes or developments that you aspire to
