Topic: Design Application Activity

Instructions:

1. Visit the Canva Site:
2. Create a free account.
3. Go through the tutorials using this link:
4. Once you feel comfortable with the basic features and design capabilities of Canva move on to step 5.
5. Read the event details below and create a poster/ad using Canva.
6. Download the PDF version of your poster/ad.
7. Upload your PDF poster/ad to Schoology.

What to consider:

• Content: In your poster/ad you must include all the information provided about the event. Adding details isn't necessary but if you do add details make sure they are necessary.
• Aesthetic (appearance): The poster/ad should be attractive. The images, colours, and text should coordinate well with each other. Create something that is informative AND visually appealing.

Tips and Things to Consider to Produce Great Work:

• Read the instructions several times to make sure you understand the assignment completely.
• Follow the instructions correctly.
• Ask for help if you need it or ask questions if you don't understand something.
• Look at the attached rubric so you know what the expectations are and you know how to succeed on this assignment.
• Make sure your work is your own. Helping others and getting help from others is okay but sharing your work or using someone else's work is NOT OKAY!
