This question points to the main issue that I came across while conduction research for our class research project. I had decided to review resources on the concept of modernizing antiquated firms via new technologies such as CRM or HCM.

The main element that I think made the transition to Oracle hCM Cloud successful was the decision to be careful about how they got employees to buy in to the new project. By deciding to bring people on only exactly when they were needed, Hitachi was able to keep business going and they avoided overwhelming their staff by forcing the change on them while they already had other duties to attend to.

In review of resources on the topic of modernizing antiquated businesses, I learned that one of the biggest causes of failure is the pushback from decision makers and employees that are overwhelmed by the change and the requirements needed to transition to the new system.
